Great Christmas Card - Happy Holidays!!!
I love your choice of Santa and Santa's wife! They don't look "senile," lol. In fact Santa looks like a banker, who doesn't "let his hair down" very often. I love how you have them both cross their legs. And Santa is in all black---completely different from his usual clothing---and wearing a green scarf indoors, lol. And there's a bucket of Champagne---they seem to be a rather formal couple. I picture Santa saying, "Care for a spot of the bubbly, m'dear?" You have a sweet photo above the fireplace, and a painting on the right, which looks like it's from 1600 or so. (I can't make out the artist, but it's definitely from between 1500 and 1800.) And it's a very orderly house, for a guy who has presents for every child on earth, lol. This is delightful. Even the teddy bear is neat and simple. Except for the dog, this is a family who has everything in order---I guess Santa is so tired of the red outfit and tons of gifts, he'd rather have a quiet orderly home when he's resting. That's quite a fireplace too---marble, I think! It looks like the doorway to a bank! Delightful...very sly wit and humor. your series are wonderful, Ute. I'm late to the end of your the Christmas series, but I'm catching up piece by piece...
