Here are more birds from our garden variety, called: 'Red-browed Finch', I mean they are tiny, less than a small handful and that is why you see soooooo many in one little tub (my last count was over 19, let's see if you can find them all, or more ?)
BTW - the Latin name is 'Neochmia Temporalis' [a mouthful, I know !]

This is my surprise present for our dear friend, ~ " JACOMINA" (dochtersions) ~ and from all of us here, at Renderosity and guess what ? after they had a good drink and a wash, they all broke out into a song! singing just for you: ~*~ HaPpY BiRtHdAy to YoU ~*~ ... can you hear them, loud and clear ? ...

Seems like Santa's little helper's are ready and all cleaned up nicely to help Jacomina celebrate (they will probably eat all the cake, if she's not quick !) her Birthday...YAY HAPPY BIRTHDAY !

I love your postwork, the birds almost seem 3D, they're so smooth and they stand out like little carvings or ceramics. I found 19, but I could be wrong. The birdbath (urn, whatever it's called in Oz), is a beautiful base for the birds, and those reds stand out sweetly. And the leaves on the left are terrific there, as a foil to all the grass behind. A very sweet gathering for Jacomina, singing Happy Birthday in all kinds of different configurations. And I second your words, and wish Jacomina a wonderful birthday, and many more. Another creative piece from you, Brigitte, with your unique way with an image---the number of birds, and your wonderful work on them makes this unique. Perfect for Jacomina, whose also unique and special to all of us. Happy Birthday, Jacomina!

This photo was taken through glass sliding doors and a very fine thin curtain, that's why it needed some pw - to have the birds stand out - I wouldn't have had otherwise the shot with '19' birds !!! they would have taken off in no time at all ... you just have to trust me on that one and that's why they look a bit '3D' - not too shabby, hey ?

Oh, honey, I'm really impressed by your beautiful finches, with their flaming beaks and bottom. Haha, exactly the same color red, and therefore, I think everyone was wrong with counting all this beauty together. I counted namely 21, and 21 is my special number. I'm born on a 21, Karel's birthday is on a 21, and Karel and I got married on a 21. Oh, and my father also was born on a 21. So now, how sorry, I can't hear these 21 birds singing together, it must be so very wonderful. Especially because I know you 'nerds' are so generous in giving love, and share love. Namely, not only to birds, you give this loving attention, I (and with me many more people) you give this loving attention, even I may share (and with me many more) in your generous gifts of warmth. A loving heart is what everyone will meet when they met you, dear friend Gitti. Anyone who wants to see it, which is sincere, can read, and feel, how very much you have received upon compassion to care for the other. With all my heart, I am grateful to have met you. Unfortunately, not in real life, but I keep hoping, once we see each other face to face. How nice would that be?!
