I think Andrea may be on to something. Definitely elephants. I like the muted colors of the buildings. It adds to the wintery atmosphere.

A very amazing and beautiful capture. I can't imagine what cold like this would be like but how amazing to see it. What great shapes have been made along the foreshore and your title really suits it.

To me it seems as if the land has risen up in defense of some unimaginable foe. 'We protect the city, you will not enter', the cries of the frozen gargantuans echo out over the frozen wasteland.

Great sepia effects in this Lake Michigan capture, Mark. I love the curvature of these barriers, having been installed to repel any invaders, i.e., Vikings coming to conquer and ravage Chicago.
