Description
On Christmas Eve of yesteryear, a father drives his Model A Ford home from work, stopping along the country road to forage for a suitable Christmas tree.
A young lad in the company of his companion dog, pulls his sled homeward with a cargo of a freshly cut fir tree.
Everything was sketched and painted in ArtRage 4.5 except for the boy & dog. They were rendered in DAZ & exported as a jpeg. and painted over in ArtRage. I did use in ArtRage some custom stencils I created for the trees. The Model A was created in Artrage using reference photos from the net.
Photoshop CC 2015 was used for some color correction and resizing.

Very neat work and your scene is helping me feel a lot cooler, as it's very hot here in Oz today, fine work Ken.
~Cheers~
marvelous
very beautiful winter-scape and your car works so well in this situation
Fascinating Ken. Reading how you used various programs to create your vision of an image is quite fascinating. That's a lot of work and the end result is an image to be proud of. Well done.
Beautiful work.
Outstanding,
Beautiful Christmas scene, just love it!
A wonderful winter scene, perfectly done. I like it very much!!
excellent image reminds me of when I was a child and my dad always cut down a fir tree for christmas and always had to cut it down a few feet to fit in the house !

I'm reading about mages and gates and other such Sci-Fi and Irish folklore collisions. This shows state of the art matte painting.
