Description
One section of beautiful Legg Lake, captured back on 5/18/12, at the beautiful Whittier Narrows Recreation Area, in not-so-beautiful South El Monte, California.
The result of experimenting with a star filter on my lens. The image was contrast postworked to enhance the star effect.
ZOOM a must.

star filters can sometimes make for "been-there-seen-that" pics, but you did this with real understatement and crispness, and it really looks like a star studded lake in your hands. I love how the water moves from muddy, at bottom, to blue-silvery at top (where you have the highest number of stars). Another of your shots of the many abstract patterns in nature, to which you've added a very tasteful and understated glitter. Very sweet, Harry. Very gentle pre and postwork: It adds glitter without interfering in the least...
(Oh, and btw: On several occasions you've called South El Monte "not-so-beautiful," lol...those dudes are gonna come to your door one day and say, "hey! What's so not-beautiful about our place???")
Marvelous... Outstanding capture !!!
Fantastic capture.
Oh, well done! This is beautiful, Harry, very well done!
I used to have a star filter on me AE-1 years ago and had lots of fun with it. You got a perfect result here, Harry.
