Description
It's variations day for me today.
Captured 6/28/13, early in the morning, somewhere around the neighborhood.
A ZOOM would be most appropriate.

Marvelous once again !!!
Wow, what a collection. Zoom's a must. First, the original is stunning: Amazing detail in the stamens; that periphery is like a collection of scrappy creatures. And the white petals flattened against those pink/green leaves are beautiful. A primal capture, a real eye popper. 2 is a study of topographical or geological lines. Like tectonic tensions under the surface of the earth. Just fascinating stuff---a scientific analysis of the flower (which itself is a primal collection). Love it. 3 looks more like fractilius (sp???), with those undulating lines, like the flower was subjected to a huge current, and it went bonkers. The background leaves are terrific too. 4 is subject to a kind of halftone treatment, with the gentle curves one sees on old etchings. (Just look at the back of a dollar bill!) A closeup of a print, almost. And 5 had been 'analyzed' into intersecting geometric shapes, a dance of them across the surface---it's like a jigsaw puzzle for cubists. Atoms of color...love that you end with it. You've gone all out on this one, and that original is a wonderful shot by itself. Love your original, love how you delved in along the way, love the montage.
I have to say it: WHAT MARK SAID! He used all the good words, as usual...nothing left for the rest of us plebian commenters. Fantastic range of effects you've given us here.
You explore your filters much more than I ever have! What an array of postwork... you are creative with your variations, Harry.
Very nice work. Well done.
