The Garden of One Thousand Buddhas
Missoula, Montana
This large prayer wheel was run by an electric motor, and its pleasant, meditative, regular chime could be heard throughout most of the garden.
I'm attaching my good wishes for Mark's birthday to the wheel's list of repetitive prayers. I hope you have a wonderful day, my friend!

You captured this copper prayer wheel in beautiful detail - the elegant sculpted shapes, the hammered indentations & the blue oxidation are all there for us to enjoy...

lol, Mark, on the electric motor. Well if Buddha had one, he'd probably say, "it's all illusion." All 40 watts of it...Another segment shot, bringing home the quiet 'intrusion' of these wheels---it could've been a bell too, were it not for the surface it's sitting on. It moves from shadow to light...and basically it's a closeup of a beautiful simple wheel, with sanskrit letters and simple decoration: Its simplicity is very lovely, in this shot. I love that we can see the hammer marks, and discolorations (and a little of the green brass patina). It's just right for Mark, the world traveler par excellence---which I assume you and bill will become soon enough. Very sweet image, and I'd recognize it as yours a mile away...
