Description
A Pre Columbian stirrup vessel.
Read about something similar here http://www.trocadero.com/stores/101antiques/items/754913/item754913.html
This is probably the oldest thing I possess and was a present from my pottery tutor.
He was given a sack of Pre Columbian stuff by an elderly lady and he shared it all out amongst his favourite students!
Rosie was very curious about this sudden appearance on the path.

Nice shot, the dog is not realy shure of this thing lol :-)
LOL..."What is this strange thing in my yard?" "I shall bark it away and impress my people with my bravery." A wonderfully cute shot. Well done.
Love it when the dogs see something they find a bit suspect :o)))
She is expecting a garden genie to pop out at any moment !!
She knows it must have flown onto the path...she's just waiting for it to restart and fly off...:) What an interesting object.
Love her pose and curious expression !
What a gorgeous heirloom and keepsake you have been given Andrea !
That's very interesting and wow at the link you provided! A priceless treasure and love Rosie's caution. Always fun to see.
Rosie obviously takes her guard duties seriously, as one would expect from a terrier. Whatever that is, it won't get you!
Very good
hehehe, are they not cute? :)
Very lovely expression.
fascinating object
Look like she's sure it's dangerous, whatever it is, and merits close watching! Cool object!
LOL! I had a Cat, who showed the same attitude, when he found a striped sock of my sons. :)
Stunning capture Andrea. God bless.
If you were that small you'd be scared of It.
Thanks for the identification. I thought it might be some sort of steampunk spaceship. Rosie is right to be suspicious. You never know what might come out of these things. This is in magnificent condition. Your teacher was quite generous.
Love the dog's expression :)
