Description
Captured this very morning, 9/21/15 @ 8:18, not far from home.
I sometimes find bottles, cups, leaves, or twigs lying about on or near the pavement, so I'll either pick them up or maneuver them around with my feet and into the most advantageous position for a shadow shoot. I do the same thing with abandoned gloves and shoes.
Toodles.

LOL - I never would have guessed such a wide shadow and so true to color as well. This is Great! Made me smile. :)

WOW !! Fantastic image great sense of image and composition !!!!
Here is the proof... The sun makes fat :-D Super great shot and well spotted :)
You got delighted responses to this. (And lol at Denise and Helle's response, about fat in the sun and in shadows.) Well, this is an ace Harry shot if ever there was one. It's a big bold minimalist but very rich capture, the kind of image that modernists loved to paint and photograph. It's avant garde, and pure, and wonderfully humorous (because of the big bulbous shadow next to that 'svelte' bottle), while also being a terrific capture of Contrast. I love how it's against a stark 'khaki' sidewalk: I love the gentle striations ans tiny leaves on the sidewalk. And then, you have the bottle---thin---and its shadow---faaaaat---and what a visual punch. Terrific. We should all be grateful that you move these things on the ground, maneuver them, etc, to get these shots. You create studio abstracts out of the simplest things in nature. And the straight-forward composition makes this a "statement"---bada-bing, it's in our faces, yet it's delicate. And that bigggg shadow is swimming in marine greens, shadows and waves. (With the threads of the bottle-top all stretched out.)
First rate work, Harry; and another reminder of what a master of the abstract you are. I remember the first dedi you ever did for me: It said something like "For Mark, Master of the Abstract". Well, you're Master of the Abstract! I've done very little this clean and pure. And that sidewalk couldn't be a better backing. Terrific!
