Description
A composite of five different photographs I took at the Garden of One Thousand Buddhas. If you went there, you would not see this scene, but I hope it gives you some sense of the atmosphere there.
To answer Claude's question: There are 1,000 of the small, white buddhas, four of these larger, darker ones, a couple more in the Kwan Yin garden, and of course the Green Tara in the center. I understand there are also 1,000 small, white stupas on the outer ring of the mandala, and I'm sure there are more of those as well. So. At least 1,000 each of buddhas and stupas. But no, I didn't count them! LOL!

This is really fine work. Superb layering and a perfect quote to go with the image. The more I look at this the more I like it but what were you doing in the middle of the mandala?

A very serene image. I would have guessed that it was a composite of just the two obvious images - you made the transitions natural & seamless. I wasn't sure about the significance of the "Green Tara" you mentioned, so I looked it up & found that she's the "Buddha of enlightened activity" & that there are several other "Tara" buddhas of various colors, all with very admirable qualities.
