Fantastic work, love the Autumn colours
A delightful autumn painting, using a leaf for her hat, and the autumnal browns for her gown and for the shadow in and under her hat. Yet you leave a lot of her gown and hat in sheer white. It's got a "sketched-in" feeling, like the Autumn wind painted this, and left out hues to give the feeling of a windy autumn day. Her body flows from top to bottom, like a big river; and I love how you create her lower legs via a few long gracious lines, and no more. It's wonderful how she "dissolves" into those lines. And all her vertical lines are balanced by the "ganglia" of lines on the top: Ie, her head, her huge flowing hat, the beautiful circular lines on top of her hat (like big awnings or feathers), and your usual flowing lines coming off her head like plumes made musical lines flowing in space.
As in many of your other paintings, this one is surrounded by white, making her "stamp her essence into the sky," and making her presence so bold. Very delicate, flowing and musical. Renoir made a famous painting of two sisters on a terrace, both wearing gorgeous hats. I'm not saying that your hat, here, is like the hats in the Renoir---his are bulkier, they don't have the same long flowing lines: But, rather, that you find the deep music inside hats the way he did, and you let them sing. Another marvelous vision from you. Full of music and flow and grace. And I love that leaf in her hat! (Yves, my favs stopped showing up---and when I fav someone, the artist never gets a notification. So I'm "liking" these two images. When they fix the fav's for me, I'll fav them too. But just know, your images are fav's for me, regardless.)

Ebots have been cancelled...ok, I can live with that, but now the site notifications of your favourite artist is broken, so now the only way we can find out if a friend has posted is to find an old post and then go to the artist gallery from there...I just don't the time to waste messing about with this crappy coding..where the heck did they get the web page designers from ? I have done a wed design course and all our web site worked perfectly or we fixed them first, then uploaded the new sit, once it was fixed...I'm also sad as I don't have any Awards (WTF ???)...I was Feb Artist of the Month, I have won first and second prizes in the Halloween contesst and nothing shows on my page...hmm, guess that means I can enter the contest again ! Hahaha ( Winners are banned from entering ever again) let see what happens...F..K that I'm really thinking of leaving this site which I have been a loyal member since 2005. The community is dead, the site is broken...not even a message to any artist explain what happened...poor form Rendo Mods and web designers, poor form !
