Description
Here you see a white tailed bumble bee on a cardoon (artichoke family) absolutely smothered on the copious amounts of pollen this flower was giving up.
The bee was about to lift off hence the front leg hair looks like fur!
This was taken yesterday and I am sure that zoom will be the best way to view.

Nice one Jeffers...WOW!!!!!!
A bee out earning his living:) Like it!
Excellent! I should have looked like this, covered in my shopping, if I hadn't taken the car to the shops his week.
Excellent photo!
He's certainly making a meal of It.
OH MY! How beautiful this is and I so love all the details in full zoom :-)
I like how sharp the flower is, and how just a little bit of motion blur on the bee gives you a sense of movement without being ... well ... blurry, if you know what I mean! :P It's a super image.
I think they are really lovely.
We have liftoff, but something is weighing us down...great capture!!!
The pollen has a feeling of icing sugar for me. Amazing capture my friend. God bless.
beautiful bee and foto
excellent macro
I hope he doesn't have allergies. Awesome photo.
Three cheers for the amount that the cardoon put out - a fantastic photo and zoom!
This is a super shot!! I think he looks furry all over..not just his front leg. And what a fantastic amount of pollen, Thanks for sharing
He has almost more on his back than his legs. I wonder if they groom each other back at the hive? A superb image with fantastic composition.
Wonderful macro, Jeff, and gorgeous in zoom view.... he looks like he has been sprinkled with powdered sugar! :)
You are getting better and better at this, the flower is a delight, colours perfect.. Such details... Well done Jeff. Rob
