Funny you should mention the chair.... The chair I'm using right now was rescued from....... wait for it............ A dumpster! LOL I'm hell on dumpsters! :-D Hopefully it'll be finished by October - but I can send the drones out, and fly you here early! LOL

I'm not too sure about the people who 'design' the computer stations that we see at various office stores - apparently they've never had to really work at one for 8+ hours a day. One day I'll post a photo of my station and tell you and all others of my evolutionary desk

Yeah, most of those "big box" stores' so-called computer workstations are a pathetic waste of time and money. Cheaply made out of particle board garbage with cheap vinyl covering with a wood grain pattern printed on it. They usually start falling apart after 3 months' use...

Now that's a computer desk+++. Can't wait to see it in its full glory. Maybe the girls can drop by and help you christen your finished product. :-)

I'm afraid if they dropped by, not much work would get done..... Hehehehehe :-P~

outstanding design and originality . I am sneezing now just seeing the dust!!. I always had problems with masks causing my glasses to steam up, so I did not wear except in extreme dusting conditions. I have not done any carpentry since I replaced all my interior doors in my house. I have a neighbor that builds high quality furniture in a one car garage. it is so crowded, not like your work area

That's one busy looking work shop!... you sure have a lot of tools.... maybe the girls will come over and give you a hand,,, they like working with power tools!... Hope to see it when it's all finished and installed!

With those 3 hotties, I know not much would get done! Ranpha would be too busy playing with stuff, and who knows what that would lead to! LOL

Rod, you certainly have done a nice job on that project and you sure have a great set up there.

You seem to have mastered the "art of focus" ........... :) Now it's a matter of tuning, perhaps. With all these projects, my patience would be depleted, but I have come to realize that each person must follow their own calling, and an observing world has little to do except observe... or in the words of Ted Turner "Lead, follow or get out of the way ". This might be a good time to implement the aid of one of those vacuum cleaners that you scrounged, placed properly, the noise would not distract, and you could create a nice pile of mulch outside the shop area... js

That is quite a project. I love working with wood and I'm drooling over your workshop. I'm looking forward to seeing the final product with all the computers in place. Make sure to keep your fingers out of the way of the sharp objects. From personal experience I can attest that Boo-Boos are not fun.

I at first took it to be a model railroad table - didn't think it was for computers as it's so large! Nice photos of the step by step construction process. Now I definitely KNOW that you're going to keep up the good work, considering the effort going into this! :-)

Cool to see your work space Rod. Really nice home woodshop you've got. Funny how we set up our computers to fit our needs and space. My recording studio doubles as a hang out space too (mancave) and I do my computer art in there too. I literally have my computer set up on a modified rolling stool/chair. It has a very small footprint and can be rolled out of the way when there's recording or jamming going on. It might be kind of cool to other's computer workspaces just for fun! Thanks for the nod and the link! :) I am sorry to see Paul bowing out for a while or maybe for good. That said I was very honored to have some reposts and a section in his last issue. Great guy, Paul Bussey, and he hosted some very informative webinars and podcasts.
