Description
A copper weathervane, on top of a house, on Ossipee Lake. They must be valuable because the owner came out and challenged me as I was changing my lens. I was not on her property and I gave her my business card. She was happy with that.
Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments.
They are very much appreciated.

With all the copper thefts she was probably afraid you were cataloguing it for a later removal. Sad that it's come to that, eh? Wonderful capture, it's a lovely weather vane!
cool vane, love the copper look and shape. great pov shot, Dana. love it lg..
this has got to be the best one I have seen. several years ago I went to make a bid on some repairs at a house. the owner(female) was giving me a hard time and I had not even gave her a price or had she accepted my bid which I never made. well, several years later I had stopped to take a picture of an old house and while I was there on the street, a woman came out from the house next door. she wanted to know why I was taking pictures of her house. for once, I had my thinking cap on and I told her I was taking pictures for the city as they were wanting to demolish the house as an eye sore. I got in my vehicle and left, before she could get a gun and shoot at me!!
That is a funny story Richard!
This is a really nice piece of work. I can see why she would be so protective of it.
This is a beauty! Some folk are paranoid. I was taking pics of neighbours' security lights prior to choosing a new one for my back drive, and a woman rushed at me to see what I was doing. She only lives two plots away, can't believe she hadn't noticed me before, I must pass her house ten times a week!
A very beautiful weather vane, nice capture! There are people looking to steal the metal, so maybe she was suspicious!
It is a work of art - nice that the owners watch out for each other!!!
How cool is that ! I want one for my place...but the polishing would be a real bitch ! Lucky she didn't shoot first Dana...LOL ~Cheers~
with all the idiots out there stealing what they can because the rules don't apply to them, I can understand the issues. Great capture

Superb copper weathervane and nice reflect on the little copper roof, splendid capture, Dana !
I hope that Ursula and Clive sees this, it could be a splendid subject for the monthly 'challenge'. Super shot Dana.
Super capture
Lovely photo, even if you were nearly in trouble. xxx
Nice detail study. It looks like solid brass and copper plate.
SWEET CLOSE UP.......(Look like Nordiques will be back soon and maybe the EXPOS) MLB
That would be good - it doesn't take much to cross over the border and enjoy a good game - hockey or baseball!
That's a beautiful weather vane! Great shot of it, Dana! With all the idiots stealing copper (they actually steal A/C units from churches and hospitals) I can see why she keeps an eye on it. Good that she wasn't overly snippy about it.
Very nice work.
nice capture
Sad that nowadays everyone freaks when someone photographs something or someone special to them. Great shot, it's a beauty!
There must be easer things to nick than risking life and limb to climb a roof for a bit of copper.
Wonderful capture!
