Description
Looking up in Bournemouth Square.
I once had a middle-aged Saudi student lodging with me, who found all this sort of architecture most upsetting.
He felt it should be replaced with something, cleaner, tidier and taller, it is such a 'mess'!
He also thought that one of our most important ruins, Corfe Castle, was a national disgrace.

We must stop these people like your student today! Because: They try to tear down our finest buildings, as you said, and they would be replace woods and fields and flowers by sandy deserts, dunes and fata morganas. I say: Enough is enough! (LOL). On the other sight: Some little Alhambras here and there would be nice, too! Thanks for sharing this beauty, Andrea!
Interesting shot. The architecture is so different from here.
This looks Victorian.Your ex Saudi lodger has no sense of history obviously.
I love these old English beauties; fantastic portrait of this national treasure!
I find this building quite fascinating and beautiful. Dont listen to the ex Soudi Lodger. He doesnt know what he is talking about.
Wonderful,like the windows very much
All those chimneys that would have had to be cleaned :o)))
Love this old Buildings;nice shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing capture Andrea. God bless.
Awesome capture!
Well, to each his own. I think it's pretty architecture.
I'd love to live in the upper sections the only thing out of place is the Telly Antenna - otherwise - fabulous Great capture
"He felt it should be replaced with something, cleaner, tidier and taller, it is such a 'mess'!" Yeah, like Dubai, clean, modern, even beautiful but completely and totally sterile. I love these older buildings. They have such character. And one of things I like best about the British is that, sometimes, they are such a 'mess'. Thoroughly human.
I like this because it's so different from anything we have here!
top-sharp and crisp
If that's a mess, mess is beautiful, they knew how to build in those days, can't say I go a bundle on Dubai the only thing its got going for It is the sand dunes.
An interesting "mess" :) Each culture has it own preferences. I like to see the old history treasured and kept, but then I am kind of a messy person I guess.
I enjoy the architecture and especially the corner rooms. I say - if you don't like it - don't look and leave it alone!
Wow the architecture is amazing ! Guessing some tourists go out of their way to visit this historical building. Thanks for sharing !
