A first class macro Andrea.
excellent
LOL I expected an insect on a cat's ear. But this is much better. :)
Perfection in macro and beautiful composition !!!!!!!!!!!!
I like the six back stripes!
So beautiful it is. Wonderful colors :-)
Fabulous! So clear and sharp, and a beautiful creature in spite of some people's opinions.
Fabulous pic Andrea
stupendous macro, Andrea
Beautiful macro! Love those black and white stripes. Two excellent shots!
Wow, amazing shot!
Outstanding Close up;live it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I too expected to see a cat, lovely pic.
Fantastic captures!
superb clarity and crispiness !
This is either a huge insect or a very small flower. A splendid image. The markings on its back happen to be the same as the I Ching hexagram for 'Kun'. Looking up Kun we find the following; "Great receptivity attracts exceptional results. A natural responsiveness brings about success through support and perseverance, rather than through bold action. Thus, the wise person demonstrates strength like a powerful but gentle mare. This hexagram, consisting of all yin lines, represents a power of the feminine principle no longer honored in our modern world, but such receptivity is most auspicious." Lucky bug.
Hilarious!
A snazzy little fellow isn't he! I am always being asked about the name of this little plant if I mention it!
Awesome macro shot of the pretty flower and gorgeous hoverfly having lunch. Amazing details on both pics. Andrea.
Very hairy in the lower POV but also very different marking than many of the other hoverflies that you have posted!
Great looking bug nice find.
Superb capture Andrea. God bless.
Perfect bug capture !
I love the colours! The yellow of the flower and the decorations on the insect abdomen :-)
