A great study of this powerful machine. Excellent shots!
Fantastic views and captures !!!
Excellent series of shots, Harry; another fun piece of heavy equipment!
I've always wanted to operate one of these for some reason. It was interesting watching them repair a broken water main in front of the house a couple winters ago with one if these. I went out to watch, but we were in the midst of a cold spell, single digit temps, so I didn't observe the operation of it too much for too long. They certainly seem to be a very versatile machine. Excellent series of photos!
Apparently, HopeFadesEternal has driven some pretty heavy equipment! I can assure you, I've NEVER driven one of these, and probably never will. I'd be terrified to touch the controls for fear it would turn around and eat Cleveland. Your montage gives us all the views we could want, and each one shows so much fascinating detail. The top two show us its face, with that big shovel looking very hungry for food. You also have that high key light again, giving the shots an intense in-your-face quality. In the last 3 shots, I love how you caught the tires, and how you caught the contrasts in the engine parts. A very sharp depiction of the innards of these beasts. In fact, the last 2 shots look like gigantic insects. And in the last shot, the city looms in front of it (going back into the shot) like a big endless road swallowed up by that high key light. A very dramatic ending for the series, as I love how the city fades into that intense light as it moves into infinity. Fine vehicle shots once more, Harry, and wonderful detail---incl the 'craziness' in the back thing---whatever that thing is in the back that scrapes along the road behind the tractor. And kudos once more for capturing these to begin with: Most of us wouldn't even try. They seem a very difficult subject for most of us to tame for the camera...
