Captured back on 10/19/08, at a car show held at beautiful Santa Anita Park in beautiful Arcadia, California.

I remember these old beauties, esp the segmented side panels, and the feeling that you were looking at kitchen cabinetry. Your top shot shows off that beautiful deep crimson, the sweeping lines, and the flare-filled grill, which just glimmers in the sun. And behind all that---a stark white roof and that wonderful wood paneling. And a runner, maybe? (Running board---or is that just part of the paneling?) Fine presentation of this beauty. The bottom one---of the wood---shows the deep reddish tones they got on these things, and how rich they were. It's nice that you posted that, because a lot of people probably never saw a woodie in their lives, and they can see its depth of hue as well as the grain. A fine pair of shots, and a rare sight these days. (And a Hawaii license plate---which you point out. They should get a crimson plate instead---it would match the chrome better!)
