Description
Captured 5/13/15 @ 8:34 am, in front of a strip mall, about 1.25 miles from home. This was not the only section that was topiaryarized (sp?) at the site.
Have a nice day.

Excellent capture of these manicured and shaped shrubberies, Harry; I like the neat cylindrical shapes of these!
Very beautiful shot and POV !!!
Beautiful capture abd very great place !!!
Harry, this is a nice capture of this well kept setting.
Pity the poor employee whose job it is to trim alllllll those shrubs!
Funny street capture !
Fantastic POV and depth in this shot. The gardener, who has made the manicure of the bushes has done a good job.
lol on "topiaryarized"---I don't know what the word is either. Topiar-ified? Topi-ossified? Anyway, it's a shot of topiary, and a study of form, line and abstraction, one of many such shots you give us. The topiary is striking, and we can see the effect of the drought in the burnt-out leaves here and there. But it's your composition that makes this shot a real Harry shot. The way you've lined up the topiary, how it crosses through the shot from right to left and bottom to top, the wall of building on the right, the sidewalk and trees on the left, the white sky for background, with the darker tones of the parking lot and bank-doors, etc. All in all, a study in urban geometries criss crossing and talking to each other; and all at an hour when there wasn't any traffic in the bank. A fine capture of the forms all around us. And boy, LA has its share of topiary! We just don't have that here. I think the warmer weather inspires it. You've shown us a huge array of the stuff, and it's endlessly fascinating.
