Description
I visited the Portland Zoo hoping to see the lions and tigers and leopards (not bears, oh my). But since the temperature was hovering around 92 degrees they were all lying around as if they were dead. I, not being as smart as the big cats, trudged around the park for four hours. I did come across this lovely Caracal sitting in the shade and sniffing the air. Eventually she noticed me but, as I was out of reach and probably not kosher, she eventually went back to ignoring me.
So, since it is her birthday, I should probably dedicate this to Carin. Happy birthday, Carin. I hope all is well with you and yours.
