Description
I have been a member of Renderosity since December 1999. In the more than fifteen years since I have had the privilege of seeing the work of many talented artists. Some of them I have come to know as friends. There are those that have moved on, to other sites or other pursuits. Sadly, some have passed away. Others just disappear and we never know what happened to them.
This is the Capitol Building of the State of California located in Sacramento. I first visited Sacramento in 2010 at the invitation of one of our site administrators. She gave a small group of us the grand tour of the building and some of the surrounding downtown area. It was a wonderful time. Some time ago she disappeared from this site. Her gallery page is still here but all the pictures have been taken down. She always urged people to just call her PK but to me she will always be known by her screen name.
Goodnight Mrs. Lubner wherever you are.

I still miss her art/photos. Thanks for the reminder Great shot
Her name sounds familiar ... truly a sad thing if someone just disappears without a word ...
Your words made me think a lot and a lot of things. I have been here more or less only two years, since I started to realize 3D images. Personally I have never had the chance to meet any of the artists, also because I live in Italy so close to most of them. I noticed that many people are gone, and I have never asked why but I felt a sense of regret. I am certainly was very sad after the death of the life of some. I believe that delete all your images is a bit like dying even though I understand that those who do have good reasons. I hope she will post newly . Sometimes I like to review the entire gallery of some authors, starting from the early works. There are wonderful things that do not always see today. I noticed there was also a lot more attention and comments which I regret a little and do not understand why. Greetings to you and to all Giulband
I do remember her telling us why she was leaving but I don't recall what she said. I do like this striking photo.
This is a super night shot of this imposing Capitol Building Mark and I do remember Mrs Lubner.
I have never met any of the other artisits here personally...except Vraxor who is my husband. He introduced me to this site. He no longer posts, but I have grown to love this place and there are many of you that I would love to meet if given the chance. So I do understand about missing someone that quits posting . I miss Isabelle711. She always told stories with each photo and it was fun to feel a connection with her cheerful personality. I still hope she comes back and starts posting again. I could so easily live my life right here exploring the art and getting to know all the artists. But, I already spend more time than is practical browsing and enjoying. I will say though if any of you ever come to the Netherlands let me know and maybe we can meet for tea or something. :) So thank you for this post and dedication to someone you miss. It is a good reminder to enjoy each other's art and connections while we can because we never know what will happen in the future. All the best, :) SRG (Katherine)
Marvelous capture my friend !!!
Beautiful night shot. Been here since 2006 and yes alot of people have left or moved on. Thank you for your latest comment to my gallery. One of the best compliments a surreal artist can receive :)
Know how you feel Mark. I myself used to post regularly, but the demands of family and raising an autistic child consumes much of my time. Have been a member since January of 2003( Had a previous account before this one). I started this gallery so that my Father could see and enjoy the places we go as a family. As time has moved on it has become more. It's just as much about the sharing, but also a dedication to both my parents. None of this would be if not for them. I've felt bad being more sporadic in posting the last 2 years, but am trying to do more now.
Thanks for your comments, Dana. I know there are many people on this site that look forward to your postings. Your images of the Wave and other places in the area inspired me to visit the Southwest last October. It was a magical time. Thank you for that.
A beautiful, magical light!
