Description
The statue of the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln, was carved by the Piccirilli Brothers under the supervision of the sculptor, Daniel Chester French, and took four years to complete.
The statue is 19-ft. (5.8 m) tall from head to foot and the extreme width of the statue is the same as its height. The Georgia white marble sculpture weighs 159 tons.
The statue rests upon an oblong pedestal of Tennessee marble 10-ft (3.0 m) high, 16-ft (4.9 m) wide and 17-ft (5.2 m) deep.

@danapommet. I wish I had the time to come back to the mall at different times, like during a rain storm, or after a snow storm, or in the middle of the night, and really be able to absorb the significance of all these historic sites.
