I went to a Lincoln Memorial in Kentucky. he lived there as a young man. great capture Sig. I was in Arizona last week
Very cool capture and information
A great shot Sig and so beautiful at night. Did you ever notice that the states are chiseled across the top - you have to walk around all 4 sides to see them all. A must zoom!
Nice capture.
Well taken !!
A very imposing façade Sig.
Excellent photo. I have never been to DC, but if I do go now I know to look for the States chiseled aroune the top. It is funny I did not realize that because when I collected coins as a kid I used to find the state name on the tails side of the pennies that featured the Lincoln Memorial, but I did not realize then it was because they actually are a part of the Lincoln Memorial. I guess I thought they did it just to make the coins interesting. Now I finally make the connection...duh. :)
beautiful
Shining.
Superb capture my friend. God bless.
Excellent shot! It's truly an awesome place, but we didn't notice the state names that Dana mentioned when were there. Cool!
Have yet to visit D.C., great capture!
We have been there in 1979. Very impressive.
