Captured back on 10/18/09, at the beautiful Orchid Show, held at the beautiful Huntington Botanical Center and Conservatory in beautiful San Marino, California.

because of my back, I can only leave 1 or 2 comments today, and I wanted to comment on this because it's another milestone for you---but also because it's gorgeous in and of itself. It's like a group of tree trumpeters---those open blooms are like trumpets---facing us, with the petals above like a beautiful headdress. And the uppermost petal---the one standing straight up to the top---is like a grand crown. I guess when you've been capturing flowers for so long, and turning them into beauties (with your postwork), you're able to find these shots. But to the viewer's eye, it's as if the flower donned the headdress for you, and the crown. And the dark background (a deep green and black, with dapples of beautiful light), and the angle are beautiful. It's as if those blooms were bells in motion. A beautiful, deep shot of orchids, and a beautiful way to celebrate your next 100 images. I wish you many, many more to come, Harry: Congratulations!
