Description
I adore Green Sweat Bees.
I don't get to see them very often, so happily took advantage of their brief visits when they visited my Ligustrum shrub recently. There are 3 or 4 dozen different species of them and I didn't take the time to dig through BugGuide to find the specific species. Very small, 1/4 to 3/8 inch, they are very fast and never seem to stay still for more than a second. A challenging subject!
Worth a zoom. Thanks very much for your views and kind comments on recent images!

So cute! We don't have these in the UK as far as I know.

Fantastic colors and details. Excellent shot. An interesting insect, this species of bees I've never seen before.
Remarkable macro photo....
Awesome work!
Cool greenish effects in this shot of the Sweat Bee, Maria. I'm fortunate to even see a garden variety honey bee in my desiccated part of the world.
gorgeous and contrastful capture! impressive bee with stunning color and details! ;o)
