And now for something a little different... This is a new panel for an old graphic novel. In 2008, I did a couple chapters of graphic novel about a Nordic Goddess using Poser 8, Photoshop 7 and Corel Painter X3. Last week I revived the project, updating some of the characters from M3/M4/H4 and V4 to Genesis and Genesis 2. Fortunately, the Brushes and Actions I'd built in Photoshop 7 still work in PS-CC and the character morphs and most MATs could be transferred to Genesis 2 for use in DS4.7. Best of all, I was able match the visual style developed for the project 8 years ago. Except for a few tweaks, the first chapter is staying almost unchanged from 2008. Chapter Two is undergoing some revisions -- mainly because the design of two of the major characters can be improved-- but most of the backgrounds were rendered separately and can still be used. So far, the most vexing problem has been a lack of careful note keeping that's resulted in a couple of wasted days spent doing detective work tracking down MATs, morphs, props and repeating test renders. All stuff that could have been avoided by leaving a few “notes to self”. Anyway, thanks again for viewing...
