Description
Captured back on 4/2/07 @ 1:33 pm, at the beautiful Descanso Gardens in beautiful La Canada Flintridge, California.
As indicated above, this is a shot taken over eight years ago, when the Gardens proudly displayed long rows of lovely tulips of several varieties, plus daffodils. Now they're only a memory, replaced by a variety of less lovely species.

I love these peppermint-striped tulips; the way the petals have opened out almost feels like feathers. Excellent capture!!!
You did a marvelous job on this lovely presentation, Harry.
Fantastic photo composition !!
Very beautiful tulips. Excellent shot, fantastic details and wonderful light!
They are lovely tulips, too bad they were replaced. Nice shot from your archives.
I love these flowers and these colors... Marvelous capture my friend !!!
Wonderful tulips!
a splendid variety unknown of tulips !!! thanks for these beauties !!!
the "peppermint" quality (Denise) is beautiful, with very high key whites; they really reach out to us. The green in the ground makes a good background too. I also like the angle, going down from the left. Beautiful capture of the hues and their contrasts. And I'm sorry this garden has gone down hill since. (Are flowers that expensive to maintain? Too bad they let it go...)
These are delightful examples with beautiful patterns... Good photo. Rob
