In this case the shadows are eclipsed by the elegant purple of the carts themselves; wonderful find, and a great capture, Harry!
Nice shot! Unusual purple color for a cart (most around here are blue or green with worn off paint and bent wheels ;)
I've never seen a purple cart before. Around here they're mostly chrome-plated... and they all have (at least) one wheel that goes, "thump... thump... thump... thump... thump..."
Awesome.
Great great great photo !!!!!!
Fantastic capture my friend!!!
superb capture...a new color for caddies ???
I had to skip a bunch of images to find a comment-box that worked for me. I'm really sorry for these delays, I can't explain this for the life of me. (I tried commenting in a couple of other galleries ((and erased the comments)) and I had the same problem). But I'll do my best this morning. I'll take this to an hour and a half, so I can get in more than a handful of comments... Well "having" to pick up here is no problem: This is brilliant. Yes, the purple is a most unusual color for shopping carts, but what makes this so amazing is how the purple plays off of everything in your frame. First, against the green on the cart itself, which you caught very vividly. (Nice strong light!) Second, the shadows, which make this another of your fine shadow shots. And in this case, the shadows are all in-line, almost perfect perpendiculars to the cart. Third, the contrast with the wall on the right: What a wall capture: It's like a 1980's abstract painting show, with some large squares on a canvas, some smaller, a big sign (for Designer Fashions---which, btw, hardly advertises what it says it's advertising, a really funny find in itself: I mean, since when is a file box "designer fashion"? I can't imagine what else that thing is!). The open walkway in bleached morning light. And an overall feeling of a big abstract installation, rather than the front of a strip mall. Wonderful clarity of hue and shape, love the shadows, and your crop brings out the crazy aesthetic of the whole---something one might miss if they saw it in person (ie, with the world around it). Really fine photographic seeing. Love this shot.
