Description
Captured back on 1/17/08, at a local park.
I'm not sure, but this should rank up with the longest shadows of myself that I have recorded, but I'm not about to go deep into my three thousand plus foto gallery just to search for a comparison.
Farvel.

Very cool idea for a photo, Harry.
Incredible shadows... Wonderful capture also !
And I had NO idea you were so tall, LOL! Fantastic capture of this exceptionally long shadow!
That is an incredibly long shadow - well seen & captured...
May well be? A childs swing? Rob
The gunman comes back---everyone hide! It's a great shot of a looming person, where we never see the person. Love this shot! Another example of the humor and fun you have with the art of photography. When this went up, I thought---from the thumbnail---that it was another of your shadow abstracts: Well, it was. But the key shadow here is you, with legs looming well into infinity; and another long shadow to the right, from a pole, I assume (it goes all the way back to the house). And all that pink in the ground---I assume that's decayed grass, etc, as this was January; but it looks like wildflowers of some kind. And your treatment of that, and the background, is almost apocalyptic. You had such fun with this shot. And your torso climaxes, visually, with the highest point of light, in the 'clearing'. Lots of fun, and a real photographer's photograph, playing with the very stuff photographer's deal with. Another of your wonderful jobs with an older photo. And given that you've described yourself as short (I'm in the same category), this might be the tallest you'll ever get (hey, live it up! friends used to say, "is the air denser down there?"---"down there" being where I dwell; my friends were sarcastic). Love it.
