Description
Every dark cloud has a silver lining.
Captured 12/17/14, mid day, right outside of my congenial condominium complex.
These were post storm clouds, empties on their way back to Seattle. Yes, you read it right, we finally received some long overdue blessed rain, from three consecutive storms. I hope this isn't the last of it. The extended forecast doesn't show anything on the horizon. All we can do is hope for more and throw ourselves upon the mercy of the rain gods.
But I digress. The big dark triangular cloud shown above with a hole in the middle was an anomaly compared to the others as far as shape goes - the black sheep of the family. Tons more from where this came from.
Have a nice day.

Fantastic sky and clouds... Marvelous capture once again !!!
Beautiful sky and great colors !!!!!!!!!
That's a great capture, definitely a one of a kind.
Glorious puffiness - fine shot...
Very intimidating cloud among the other less threatening ones. It looks like globs of mashed potato up in the sky; or it's how I always viewed them to be.
That's a seriously inflated cloud there! Lots of moisture sucked up into it, and it's looking like it's thinking about giving it all back in a hurry...wonderful capture, Harry, you managed to get so much depth!
Nice work on another amazing capture, Harry.
This image make me fly away !
"glorious puffiness"---great description. And yes, it does look like globs of mashed potatoes. And the pic has real depth. (Claude, HopeFadesEternal, and Denise.) One can look at the sky for days and not get a shot like this: You were on high alert...A beautiful starring-role cloud with that big "V" (actually, it's like a big throw pillow with a hole in it), But the clouds around it are equally beautiful, with such beautiful light on the billows. And the lighter clouds to its side, and those cirrus-like clouds painting across the sky behind everyone. Sweet sky around them too---this is a beautiful cloud capture, in composition and light and hue; and doubly for you (and other LA residents), because it brought rain with it. Hope it does is a lot more...Wonderful cloud work, Harry!
superb sky with great lighting despite the white clouds !!!
Beautiful cloud shot, outstanding! Rob
