Description
These are paintings by my very talented friend, Tana Domecq-Davis. They were on display at the pond house at Pacifica for their annual winter art show. The one on the right of the two children is my favorite...

Beautiful paintings, and a lovely shot to showcase them!
Fantastic capture of your friend's work!
Yes (ala andrea), a tantalizing glimpse indeed...I looked up Tana, and found a few jpgs of her work (just a few, unfortunately), but I can see she's a very intense and wonderful painter, which is apparent from these paintings as well. Dark hues, but with very intense light coming through them. Very big talent and a very expressive vision. All of them look like she brings out inner intensity in what ever she paints. The photo itself is dark and rich, rich because of the buttery hues on the wall, and the deep reds shining from inside the sofa, chair and other dark parts of the room. It's an inside glow, an intimate glow. And there's a subtle softness to the shot which makes the room feel private and inviting. It's a very gentle capture of an exhibition, in which this room feels like it's inhabited by very few, and we're lucky to come in and look around. Beautiful yellows and deep reds...
The kids are cute but I like the sunset in the mountains - maybe the Snake River?
