Description
This should put a halt to their advance! Fire when you see the whites of their eyes!
Captured 4/27/14, at the beautiful Renaissance Faire, held at the beautiful Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area, in semi beautiful Irwindale, California.
A temporary departure from my En Garde! series in order to break up the monotony of that sequence.
Much better via ZOOM.
Cheerio.

Fantastic shots once again and very beautiful pictures also !!!
real cool looking
excellent shots ! warning !!! sword or gun? impressive !!!
Two fantastic and interesting photos of these two well-preserved guns and all the people in the background.
Very nice small reproductions. My husband was a machinist and built several full size Civil War cannons, so I have a soft spot for these. :)
These are some really cool old cannons they had there, Harry.
They look quite solid, and I'm sure they could do some serious damage! Although I wouldn't want to get too close to those hay bales with a burning match to fire them off... Very excellent shots of these well-made cannons, Harry!
Your detail and composition are finely done, Harry. The metal has fine detail, as does the straw and the rope around the wooden posts, etc. They're both still lifes of a sort. And the two angles give us views with different light, shadow, etc. Well picked, too, for the red post (as contrast) and the yellow-orangish smaller poses. And all that mesh to the sides of the cannons---a lot of textural contrasts. A very pleasing couple, Harry, with a fine eye for detail and composition. I'm amazed how many vivid pieces you got from that shoot. They just haven't waned...
Shame they never fired them LOL But, there is nothing like a canon...or two.. Lovely shots Rob
