Wonderful cool work !
I really like the atmosphere you created for this one, Harry.
Love the giant moon and the greenish light; great composition and imaginative work, Harry!
I'll start today's session with this image because (as you already know) I think it's a beauty. Your color sense is at its prime, here; a very green work, but with many different greens. You have yellow tones inside, brown tones, olive tones, and so on. And the dark shadows of the boat make it a silhouette (almost) against this beautiful green universe. And that moon---I can't help but think of traditional Japanese prints, and the way they abstract and exaggerate the basic forms of life. That big moon is just wonderful. And you striate it with those clouds. (And echo it in the tires on the boat, and those two circular things in the bow of the boat. I don't know what they are, but they are circular as well.) (Btw, I hope "bow" is the right word---I don't know boats very well.) And the red light is the one largely contrasting hue in the whole piece, and it's wonderful. You really were working on sheer form and balance, in these pieces; and very bold graphic elements, with a very graphic potent sense of color. Your waves---in front especially---are like paint-strokes. I'm enjoying these pieces immensely, and this one hit me in the eye the minute I saw it. Wonderful, Harry.
Vivid colours to be sure, make it work as well.. I like the boat as well mate Rob
