Description
After dealing with 2nd hand tents and such. I decided to go ahead and spend the money on a new tent that is bigger. So I purchased this one.
For those who have been camping in the past, setting up a tent was at least a two person job and took a long time to do so; plus the tents were a 'light-weight' canvas (NOT) that unfolded easily allowing the campers to get their home ready for all.
Nowadays, a three person tent like this takes all of 15 minutes to set up and stake down. and can be transported easily (1.5 pounds)
this one proved its worth out in the forest
It may not be much, but it's home to me!
Thank you

Looks like you're ready for the elements! Sweet capture!
Superb capture my friend. God bless.
A nice home for the forest indeed! Very nice capture!
This would make a super hide. I hope it's bear proof !!
Fantastic new home my friend and great shot also !!!
The new and improved version looks awesome ! So nice to hear how this home away from home proved to be well worth your investment Mike. Happy Hunting/ Fishing and Camping to you my friend.
Keeps the elements at bay. Xx
I like that tent had one like it when i went camping in PA
Cool tent, Mike. I used to camp in tents until I discovered a cute little Scotty travel trailer. It was really small, and the kids and I fit in it but my husband was too tall. He slept in the then, LOL!
Looks like a comfy little nest!
great looking tent, and love the weight of it and set up time.
Nice shot.
Very nice 'camping house'! :)
I admire your courage. I was afraid a bear could come visit me in this tent ... Terrific photo, well done!
when I went camping as a teenager I never had a tent, lucky to have had a cheap sleeping bag. usually my friend and I would sleep under a rock cliff or in an abandoned house. we nearly froze once when the temperature dropped to a minus 6 F looks like a great tent
Looks good. Nice shot!!
Wonderful looking shelter, Mike! It looks like to turtle shells stacked together! Hope it works out well for you! Happy camping!
I haven't been camping in years, but this looks a lot easier than any tent I ever tried to set up. enjoy your new digs!
Grand Home Mike...do you accept guests?
Way to go Mike and it looks like a beauty. A double dome for a warmer tent in cold weather and cooler in hot weather!
That looks like a great tent, Mike! I remember when I was in the Boy Scouts many years ago, pitching a tent during our camping trips was a major construction project - worthy of a whole crew, foreman, and a tower crane or two. OK - I'm exaggerating, but not by much....
Cool home.
Your tent reminds me of my helmet when I was still in the army. The camo cover on it was almost the same pattern.
I had a Kelty 2 man tent on my hike... I also have a Hennessy hammock for camping. Lately, I'm tinking of getting a canvas tent such as the Kodiak tent for car camping...you know its to heavy for the forest hikes.... Nice to see your set up... Aloha
I was just checking on tents on google. I was looking at the big 10 to 15 man tents just to see how the cost and look. I do not remember seeing any. over $2200 I understand why i do not see them.LOL [that a mid price one]
As I scrolled down I caught the first sight of this and wondered, "Why is Mike sleeping inside a turtle?" Looks pretty cozy.
This one looks nice - I've seen some really small two person tents with no head room but very light weight.
Looks awesome - and that shade on the top is very functional, keeps the inside cool and shady in full sun situations. Nice purchase.
It may not be much, but it's home to me! On the contrary, I reckon it looks great.
this is the survival tent,we might nbeed more of them as soon as isis is landing on the beaches of the west coast.
