Description
I got a huge number of acceptable Common Darter photos this season, as they are such compliant models.
I love this 'expression', although of course it is not smiling. But never mind, eh!
What's a bit of anthropomorphizing between friends ? !

What a large ball he's carrying!! Lovely expression and shot.
He really does look like a cheeky fellow. I'd not be at all surprised to see it wink in a saucy manner. :-)
They are all jaws and eyes up close! Superb capture and who can't resist a confident grin!
I like this because he looks like he is sitting on the earth!
Big smiles coming from this gorgeous model. Awesome macro shot Andrea.

Looks like a scifi animal :)
Oh no. I am going with the cheesy grin take. More and more I have come to believe that most life out there is way more aware than humans give credit for. Great capture of this little guy.
What a fantastic zoon to see that great smile and wing details! An exquisite capture Andrea!
I wish they'd pose for me the way they do for you! Wonderful portrait!
