Over a long year since last posting here. Found myself on this enforced break, due both to work related reasons and a need to reflect and assess my quality of artwork.
Have been using the intervening time, to therefore study many improvement techniques in both Poser and Photoshop. Here is the first of several project WIP’s completed over this period.
Poser 10 now has some excellent features and improvements. The ongoing use of SSS, IDL and emitter lighting when combined with material shader nodes has been invaluable in taking a step nearer to realism. I would highly recommend studying the forum threads on Poser lighting and supporting techniques in the Renderosity forums. Particularly those of Bagginsbill and Carodan in this respect.
Still working on getting the best out of transmapped hair, so post-worked it here as a parallel Photoshop exercise. Credit to Kelly Johnson at Elfwood, for a truly informative tutorial, and helping to substantially improve my technique in this area.

Pretty damn good Deane! That is a very good looking render of a very good looking girl. Her skin really has that soft, "porous" look that makes it lifelike, rather than just that plastic, hard look most of us get. Keep going!
