Description
There are too many varieties of pink dogwood, and I'm not even going to attempt an ID on this. Dogwoods are a favorite of mine, and I enjoy seeing them every year! This one belongs to a neighbor here in Washington.

I always find it interesting when people go to the trouble of providing the Latin names for plants and animals but I salute you for your practical approach. Hell, I just call them flowers. There's a pink and a blue one and over there a white one, you get the drift. Cornus...Something or Other is a great title for this wonderfully sharp image. The colors and lighting are brilliant.
The crispness of the image is truly amazing. I look at the flowers but I see small fairies in flight, well, at least the flowers maybe. But yea, It looks like they are just fluttering around the green leafs looking for something, or perhaps it's an intricate dance.
A wonderful capture of this beautiful plant! Who cares for the name, it's just gorgeous!
What a wonderful photo! My pink one is called "Porlock', which i find rather attractive. I must find out where he got this name one day!

they are awfully pretty; it's not often that I see the pink ones, but there are tons of white ones all over here, and one tree that has one branch of pink and the rest white, all on the same tree. Go figure! This is really lovely, well taken!

You have captured this in such a lovely way, and I love all I see, special the mood again, is what I find very, very fine, my dear friend. Here we don't have that pink Dogwood, as I've never seen one single plant or tree of them. Dogwood is rare (I guess) in The Netherlands.

I love dogwoods too. We had them in our backyard in Louisiana. They were a memory which tied me to my past. When we would drive back to Louisiana each year to visit relatives, I would look for the sprinkling of white among the trees. My sister, Janice, planted a pink dogwood in New Jersey. It died down below the graft and grew back white. At the time, in the romantic angst of adolescence, that meant something special to me, but it really irritated Janice. Beautiful dogwood and capture! The pink is radiant against the deep green.
