Description
Captured 6/15/14, Father's Day, from the port stern of the Battleship USS Iowa, berthed at the Los Angeles Waterfront.
Looking north, a portion of the famous Vincent Thomas Bridge spans the Los Angeles Harbor Main Channel in this collage. Not bad for shots taken with a hundred dollar Panasonic point-and-shoot camera. Most of the other photos during that visit were recorded with my Canon PowerShot SX20.
Incidentally, since my nascent battleship series has received such a surprisingly poor numerical response in the way of comments, I feel that a return to such ordinary scenes as bridges, little boats, shadows, clouds and plant life will be more accommodating to the viewers.
Ciao.

a beautiful series on port industrial facilities, photographed from a deck of SS IOWA !!!
What a marvel of engineering that graceful bridge appears; beautifully captured, Harry!
These are really some cool captures of the bridge, Harry. I have passed by this bridge many times over the years. I for one enjoyed your battleship series, as it is one of the few chances someone like myself gets to see such amazing shots.
Very impressive looking view and great looking bridge.. (that's twice I said looking lol) Stunning shot mate! Rob
