Description
Captured on Father's Day, 6/15/14, overlooking a channel adjacent to the Los Angeles Waterfront.
The good ship Atlantic Diana, a chemical/oil products tanker, flying the flag of Hong Kong, port of registry Hong Kong, built in 2007, length 601.83 ft/183.21 meters, double hull, with a gross tonnage of 29266 tons. Destination at this time is San Francisco. Here you see it escorted by two tugboats. The famous Vincent Thomas Bridge is in the background of the top three photos.
Please ZOOM for awesome detail.
These shots were taken not from a bridge, boat, pier, jetty, quay, wharf, dock, levee, landing, nor the good ship Lollipop. They were snapped from the aft deck of a battleship, the name of which, plus a ton of photos, I will reveal sometime in the foreseeable future.
Bon voyage.

On the last picture you can see how big the ship is !!! Great pictures and great color contrast !!!!!!!!!!
Wow, this series is really something, Harry! The red of the ship against the water and the bridge makes for several really eye-catching compositions. Well done, you!
This is indeed a big ship full of fascinating detail thanks to your photography...but the one you were standing on is of even more interest:) Nice shootin' sir.
excellent angles of taken views, an interesting series on the transport of chemicals ... a monstrous giant compared to the size of tugs!!!
beautiful work!
Riding high again, so going to load? But impressive looking shots and very clear, well done Harry! Rob
