French Quarter
New Orleans, Louisiana
While we were waiting for our friend's daughter to come pick us up, the four of us (Robert & Kathy and Bill & I) stood around on a corner visiting. I was resting my camera on top of a garbage bin with my focus on automatic, just shooting across the street as people walked through the crosswalk. I wasn't even looking at the camera ... I was talking to Robert, who was standing 90 degrees out from the lens. To anyone looking, you would never have known I was taking pictures at all. I just clicked the shutter whenever I noticed someone in the crosswalk, hoping for some interesting candid shots.
Imagine my surprise and delight when I discovered this guy on my card later! I love it that it looks like we had made a connection. It was just a lucky click ... he might have just been wondering what we were doing hovering around a garbage bin (and me in my black floppy hat and red shirt, of course). I was only peripherally aware of him, and we never made eye contact.

HAHA Yes,. It is a god way of taking pictures, when people dont really know it.. I have done that too and had slot of fun with it :-)

People photography can be a hazard. I just read of a woman killed for taking a photo of someone just walking along. Scary world.
