Description
This Gallica rose, which is almost thornless, has, as befits a cleric, rich velvety purple flowers which are scented and slightly shabby.

Cute description of the blossom. Looks too thick for the insects to get to the pollen Great capture
Beautiful colour
I love that these aren't the perfectly rosy roses--the color is wonderful. Wish I had one!!
Its a beauty
Beautiful rose!
A lovely picture Andrea. The Hosta wasn't ours - Rosemoor !!
Beautiful, no thorns, fabulous!!!
Its also has a companion that seems to be lagging. A beautiful flower. Its slightly droopy appearance makes me think of it as a floral version of Buster.
Lovely flowers, I like the colours. An excellent shot, fantastic details.
It's aptly named, indeed! I love that color.
Beautiful, it looks almost like my Peony did a week ago.
Beautiful !!!
Beautiful flower.
How lovely this is!
Cardinal de Richlieu? How interesting. Where do they get the names for these roses? Or do you name them yourself? In any case, cool postwork and composition in this one, A.
Shabby or no, it's still a beautiful rose with a very regal name. Nicely done. :)
this is wonderful
Interesting comment on those nice roses.
Superb capture Andrea. God bless.
Beautiful!
They are a beautiful color especially against the green background!
