Description
This frog is called: Pelophylax, I guess a female. It belongs to the family of the true frogs.
Dutch name is the same, fam. van de echte kikkers (de groene kikkersoorten)
This macro-shot was taken in the pond nearby.
If you look well, you can see it's legs under water, doing the breaststroke. (as we call it in Dutch language.)
Thank you very much for your lovely words on my yesterday upload, dear friends.
I had a big chuckle about what Mike (Faemike 55) wrote!

This is a great capture Jacomina and a super zoom.
These are being reintroduced to Britain, after they became extinct in the 1990's. Lucky you to have them near!
Brilliant shot, Jacomina. I love frogs :-))
Great !!!
I like the high-key background very much! It looks as if your friend is swimming in milk. :)
jolie!
Very cool image! it does look like this one is swimming in milk. This one might be the Cleopatra frog...
Great shot, Mies! And interesting text. I worry about a frog that has gotten this big and is still in need of swimming lessons! :) Perhaps she could be fitted with some tiny water-wings. haha
Nice work on this very fun capture, Mies.
leuke foto... en??? heeft ie het goed geleerd ??
Great capture, I love the POV!
Leuke foto en kleuren contrast !
Mooi toch...........
fabulous
I thought of milk too. I love the way the almost opaque quality of the water simplifies the image. She and the vegetation, rise up out of the water like islands. Yet if you look closely, you see her legs and vegetation, light but very clear under the water. It's a marvelous, subtle, and beautiful effect. Excellent detail, colors, and textures. Great capture!
It looks like milk to me also and easy to see the legs in zoom - an excellent macro capture! Het ziet eruit als melk voor mij ook en makkelijk om de benen te zien in zoom - een uitstekende macro foto!
