Description
A few weeks ago I made this picture about eight o'clock in the evening.
There were warnings for severe thunderstorms, flood, and the like. (on t.v. was said 'code red'.)
A music festival not far from us was interrupted for several hours and people had to securing.
It was Pinkpop, with also a performance of the Roling Stones.
While I made this picture, it was at the lightnings, incessantly.
Well after all it was not that bad, as told.
This photo was taken near our house.

Much like the Kansas Storms that can turn into Twisters at the drop of a hat that I grew up with, don't get those here in the Desert thank goodness Peace

Impressive! Fantastic color, Mies!There are certain types of lighting that I love, like an afternoon at sea,when light is gray but before the sun is very low, and a storm approaching but not yet started. This photo has the latest and fascinates me.

What a beautiful shot, dispite the threatening clouds. I am glad it didnt go so bad after all, Jacomina. Here on Zealand DK, we have had thunder, cloud burst and hail as big as golf balls, they said, but I am happy to say it was not in our area :-) We havent seen one drop of water, but we saw the threatening clouds passing in the distance. I am not happy about thunderstorms. :-/

So unschön das Wetter auch sein kann aber es bringt fantastische Bilder. Das Wolkenbild ist außergewöhnlich. Dramatisch und doch faszinierend. Ein Wunsch von mir ist, einmal das Glück zu haben einen riesigen Blitz einzufangen mit der Kamera. Du wohnst schön ländlich inmitten von Natur...
