Description
Today was a gorgeous day - all the rain we've had for the past week moved on, and it was sunny, cool, and clear all day. A perfect day to exercise the Phantom a bit. It's been a few weeks, and she was starting to feel neglected! :-D
We found a nice place to fly along the Little Blue Trace Trail - which is a nice trail that runs for several miles alongside the Little Blue river (although it looks more like the Little Brown river after all the rain..). This area is behind a strip mall here in Independence, and is very well cared for.
I'll post a video of the flight to YouTube soon..

Lovely shots of the area Rod looking nice and green, a bit like round our way now. Have had torrential rain and winds here over this last week, knocked over another of our big trees so have to get it cut up for firewood. Don't ya love winter.. not. At least everything has greened up from the summer browning off and the water tank is full again.

A good day for flying indeed. Didn't the Little Blue have a history of flooding...badly some years ago? Now it looks all nicely contained. That little flying camera is sooooo sharp and clear!

WOW! Cool shots Rod. Definitely DOES appear to have been great flying weather. So, that river isn't ALWAYS that color? You'll have to take another fly-over after the sediment settles so we can see what it normally looks like. ;-) Good excuse for a flight if you ask me, LOL.
