Description
Various and sundry images of humanity at its most spectacular, captured 4/27/14, at the beautiful Renaissance Faire, held at the beautiful Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area, in semi beautiful Irwindale, California.
I'm not too happy with the composition in the first photo; I cropped the top in an attempt to balance it out, and am including it because it shows the masses in attendance.
Cool to ZOOM.
Toodles.

I love this Faire pictures!! Well done!!!!!!!!!!
These fairs seem to attract the most enormous people!! Great people pics.
Excellent selection of crowd shots; I think the top shot is fine with the cropping. There do seem to be a huge number of huge people there, a LARGE crowd...I love seeing the costumes (and attempts at costumes). The kids are the most fun, I think. Well done again, Sir Harry!
Interesting Faire.... Aloha
Very great shots !
Good to see allot of folks have made an effort with a rainbow of costumes! But really guys! You need to cut back on the Big Mac's! lol Rob
Rob: "But really guys! You need to cut back on the Big Mac's! lol" Yeah, lol, I'd say so. Well on the first image: Big crowd shots can be ornery, and no matter what you do to them, they'll always stick something in the way. But you got a big sweep in that shot, solidified by the lines of the tent-tops in back. That's what matters, along with the wonderful combinations of people. And your 'highlight' is the big person in front, talking to that woman. (I don't know if that front person's a man or a woman): It's a real bang, a climax to the shot, and it really works, esp as it's in front of the thickest part of the crowd. Well composed. (And you know, from the pics so far, we haven't seen this much congestion very often, probably because you zero in on specific people or events.) The 2d is sweetly composed, all of a visual line, with those 2 wonderful women in the center in wonderful in costume and color. The 3d is a real candid, one lady looking out, one at her glasses, the other looking the other way. You even have the left-most lady in sync with the higher backdrop---more good composition. The 4th has lovely children (with adults). Lovely childhood postures. And the 5th, more closeups with that big guy dominating the shot. That's an eye popping image! I guess he could be the 'Falstaff' of the lot---if he wore the right clothes. I don't mean any historical Falstaff (there may have been one) but Shakespeare's jovial knight who drinks all day and night, and who everyone at the tavern runs out to greet, he's so beloved. So you got a Falstaff here, just not in the right clothes. (Lol, that guy really needs to put on different clothes, if he wants to fit the part.) A real potpourri of humanity, Harry, and we definitely get the rhythms and dins of a big street fair. Fine work, Harry.
