Description
In 2012 this dragon statue was constructed in front of the Wat Phnom Resort, Phnom Penh to celebrate the Year of the Dragon in the Buddhist year 2556.
It was meant to show the real achievement of skillful Khmer artists in preparing its 20 m long framework and exterior cover as well as its attractive decorations to welcome national and international tourists.

What a wonderful sculpture! I love the weaving. The ladder makes me a bit nervous though ... no way I'd get up on that precariously balanced thing! LOl!
