Description

This vigilant Elven Scout is tracking a group of Orcs heading for the Elven forest lands – but she will need to get some help to stop them. The foreground and background were rendered separately under the same lighting and then combined in Photoshop. Thankfully OR has a scattering node so I don’t have to place all the small plants by hand. I really enjoyed working with some great products while creating this image (see credits below). Beautiful scene :D Why render separately, rather than as a single scene? Either way, looks great. You can only tell in a couple spots and it's very subtle. I may not have noticed had you not mentioned it. :D

Thank you for your comments! Octane Render uses the GPUs on the video card so it can be very fast to render a scene but the down side is the scene must fit into video memory. I’m glad you like the image.
