Description
Captured 5/12/14, very early in the morning, about 5/8ths of a mile from home.
Here we have a nice potpourri of the tiny flowers, and its leaves, with those elegant visceral patterns, are my favorite, after those of the Canna plant.
A ZOOM will bring this to untold heights.
Adieu.

splendid flowers under a very great sunny weather...a bit overexposed !
If you think that's overexposed, you should have seen it before I postworked and reduced the brightness on this puppy. You had to wear sunglasses to look at it. The low morning sun on a clear Southern California morning can be quite glaring. In any case, I'm not going to play with it any longer.
lovely colors
Fantastic flowers and fantastic shot also !
This is my favourite variety of lantana, the colours are just so lovely! Wonderful closeup of these beauties under the SoCal sun, Harry. You do so well under these adverse conditions!
I read your response to Claude19: Wow---so, the early morning sun is quite glaring in SCal: That makes your early light, in shot after shot, all the more a compliment to you, because you have to finesse it to bring down the glare. Or, better put, you coax out the real beauty in it. (As you know, I'm a big fan of your early morning light captures.) The last Lantana I commented on had stand-out white flowers, this one has stand-out yellows (against the pinks). They're the crowns in the bouquets, here, the jewels. You have an invisible "divide" between the upper right and lower left, with shade in the lower left and more light in the upper right: It's typical of your sensitive flower compositions; and the flowers move across that divide on the angle. It's very well composed, Harry. Another of your flower 'portraits'. And lots of rich details on the leaves too. I get repetitious on this, but you are one of the masters of flower photography in my life; and with each upload, you prove the point over and over...Splendid.
