Description
I don't really know why I took this photo other than the fact that I find reflections in puddles hard to resist. My brother calls photos like this that have no apparent significance or meaning "photographs about nothing". But not in a derogatory way - he's actually a fan of them. Maybe there are one or two others of you out there who share this taste for the mundane & ordinary?

Nice, but I would like it better if the puddle water had been perfectly still so that the reflection was mirror-like.

I like it – there is a lot of depth, your eye is drawn into the image and reflections make it very pleasing!

::: hand goes up ::: me! me! me! I love shots like this. And what a winner this one is, with the sign reflecting in the big puddle and the road going off into the distance. Well seen and captured!
I have no doubt there could be photographs about nothing that are boring and mundane and don't deserve to be shown. However, THIS would not be one of those! Just look at your composition! The puddle has such a pleasing shape, the sidewalk and road create nice diagonal lines that disappear into a perfect composition point, and the mini-composition of the sign reflected in the puddle is superb. The reflected sign pulls your eye up to the real one, and up over the hill. It's irresistible! The verticals of the telephone poles, signs, and fence posts are a wonderful counterpoint to the short, hard horizontals of driveways abruptly terminated by the street. So yeah ... it's just a street. LOL! Yup.
Interesting. Puddles are becoming a memory of the past around here.
An urban lake, obviously :) :)
Rain puddles are just tiny ponds or lakes - if there is a reflection - shoot it!
