Good news about this nestbox on the pergola, but the blackbirds in the hedge have been predated for a second time.

Clever mum and dad and a brilliant picture. Our blackbirds have fledged and dad is feeding them whilst mum is building another nest.
Superb capture Andrea. God bless.
Look at those little mouths open wide. Lovely pic!!
If only the parents knew what work lies ahead :)
Excellent capture Andrea, sad news about the blackbirds, seems they are having no luck at this time, I suspect where they choose to build the nest will ultimately influence the degree of success or failure. Good to see these one's look snug and in the protective nest provided by the dog hair from buster, a nice legacy along with some pieces of coloured wools. It's inevitable we shall lose some of them along the way... nature can be cruel along with being kind... survival of the fittest and so forth... there is usually a runt amongst them.
Very good capture Andrea Mother Nature knows what's she doing, even if it seems cruel
That was fast. I can't imagine all of them will survive. Fingers crossed. Excellent pair of images.
Great shot...keep us posted. I know you will:)
Nice work! Life happens again.
oooooooooooohhh !!!
Brilliant pic Andrea
Thanks for sharing the events.
WoW!!!, love this.
Oh my, what I could do with the title, but, as you know, I'm too much of a gentleman for that. From within the deep abyss, the helpless hatchlings beseech for sustenance, in this momentous capture, Andrea. I like the excelsior ringing the top of the nest.
Great to see they have hatched ,they look a hungry bunch.
All open mouths and not much else at this point; soft and sweet and so vulnerable...wonderful capture!
A super shot of all of those beaks and unopened eyes! To bad about the blackbirds!
